The Mirror
A persistent space for self-knowledge and alignment. For individuals, it is where goals, values, and preferences accumulate over time. For groups, it becomes a facilitation space for surfacing shared intent and competing priorities.
Facets of Self-Knowledge
Goals
What the user is trying to achieve — immediate objectives and longer-term aspirations.
Values
What matters and why. Priorities, principles, and non-negotiables that guide decisions.
Preferences
How the user likes to work — communication style, detail level, pacing, modality.
Expertise
What the user knows and doesn't. Domain knowledge, methodological fluency, skill levels.
Ethics
Moral commitments and constraints. Boundaries the system should respect and reinforce.
Tensions
Competing goods that must be balanced. Where the In/Tension modeling tool lives.

This Yet That — In/Tension Modeling

A tool for navigating tensions between two good things. Rather than choosing one over the other, it helps users find their balance point on a continuum — making implicit trade-offs explicit and deliberate. Used for individual self-knowledge and group alignment.
